Community Guidelines

Velvet is built on trust, discretion, and respect. These guidelines exist to protect every member of our community.

🤫 Discretion is Everything

What happens at Velvet events stays at Velvet events. Discretion is not just encouraged — it is expected.

—Do not discuss other members' attendance at events outside the platform.
—Do not share event details, locations, or attendee lists with non-members.
—Respect that many members value their privacy deeply. Treat all information shared in confidence as exactly that.
—Do not screenshot or record content shared in private or members-only spaces.

✅ Consent First, Always

Consent is the foundation of this community. It is non-negotiable, enthusiastic, and ongoing.

—Always ask before touching, photographing, or engaging with anyone.
—"Maybe" and silence are not consent. Only a clear, enthusiastic "yes" is.
—Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Respect it immediately and without question.
—No means no. Don't argue, pressure, or guilt anyone for their boundaries.
—Respect the rules and boundaries set by event hosts for their specific events.

📸 Photo & Content Rules

Photography and recording are highly sensitive in our community.

—Never photograph or record another person at any event without their explicit consent.
—Never share photos or videos of other members without their explicit written consent.
—Never post identifying information about other members (full name, workplace, location) without consent.
—If you are uncertain whether something is okay to share — it is not okay to share.
—Violation of photo consent rules will result in immediate and permanent account termination.

🚫 No Solicitation

Velvet is a social community — not a marketplace. The solicitation of paid sexual services, escort arrangements, or any form of commercial sex work is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate and permanent account termination. This applies to all parts of the platform including profiles, messages, and event listings.

⛔ Zero Tolerance

The following will result in immediate and permanent account termination, and may be reported to law enforcement:

—Any content involving, depicting, or sexualizing minors.
—Facilitation or promotion of human trafficking.
—Non-consensual acts or content of any kind.
—Threats of violence or physical harm toward any person.
—Doxxing or sharing personal information with intent to harm.

🤝 Be a Good Community Member

—Treat every member with dignity and respect, regardless of their lifestyle, identity, or experience level.
—Be honest in your profile and interactions.
—Welcome newcomers. Everyone was new once.
—If you see something that concerns you, report it. Don't engage with it.
—Remember: the quality of this community is a reflection of how every member shows up.

🚨 Reporting

If you witness or experience a violation of these guidelines — whether on the platform or at an event — please report it immediately. We take all reports seriously and respond promptly.
