1. Age Requirement

Velvet is an adult platform. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account, access the platform, or attend any event listed on Velvet. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to terminate accounts found to be in violation of this requirement without notice.

2. Prohibited Content & Conduct

You agree not to use Velvet to:

• —Post, solicit, or facilitate paid sexual services, escort arrangements, or sex work of any kind.
• —Share, post, or distribute private content (photos, videos, messages) of other members without their explicit written consent.
• —Harass, threaten, stalk, or demean any member of the community.
• —Impersonate another person or entity.
• —Post content involving minors in any sexual or inappropriate context.
• —Promote or facilitate human trafficking, non-consensual activities, or any form of coercion.
• —Spam members or use the platform for unsolicited commercial promotion.

3. Member Content

You retain ownership of content you post on Velvet. By posting, you grant Velvet a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content on the platform. You are solely responsible for the content you share and its compliance with these Terms.

4. Events & In-Person Meetups

Velvet is a platform for discovering and organizing events. We do not organize, operate, or supervise any in-person gathering. Velvet is not responsible for any injury, loss, harm, or dispute arising from in-person meetups arranged through the platform. Attendance at any event is entirely at your own risk. Always exercise personal judgment and follow your local laws.

5. Account Termination

Velvet reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any conduct we deem harmful to the community. You may close your account at any time from your profile settings.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Velvet is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, freedom from bugs, or the accuracy of member-provided information. Use the platform at your own discretion.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Iowa.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify members of material changes via email or platform notice.
